Introduction to Built Enviroment (IBE)

• This subject covers the fundamentals of the built environment, focusing specifically on the local building sector. Topics covered include building components, building services commonly found in a building, basics of space planning and the Green Mark scheme that governs the environmental design and performance of buildings.

Learning Experience

• Deep use of 5 senses to analyse and absorb the site.

• Use 4 step context analysis to produce a detailed report

• Explain its past, present, future state

These were the question that I often found myself going back to when conducting research or making progress on the assignment

Site Sketches

In doing such sketches, it allowed me to analyse better as pictures may not be able to capture the enitrety of the site. Within the map sketch, Several markings are used to indicate natural occurences throughout the day ( e.g. sun paths, wind paths, dimensions )
