PROJECT 1.2

As the final project of year 1, the students of Digital Modeeling Architecture (DMARCH) and Eco- Architecture(EARCH) were tasked to develop a student hostel with a given context//site in Temasek Polytechnic's campus (TP)

DMARCH

In DMARCH, students are thought about the Building information modeling process or BIM for short

what goes on, how things are carried out, relecant authorities and documentation to name a few. Majority of DMARCH is used to learn on handling a 3D software used for different stages of BIM a.k.a. Revit(Autodesk). Several skills are learnt such as massing, creating walkthroughs, and even how to develop our own TP campus. With these active skills, we incorporate them in our modelling stages for our Group and Individual portions of the respective project.

EARCH

As for EARCH, students learn how to create a green//efficient building in this day and age. Doing so, by applying passive design skills, daylighting, what makes a person actually want to be in a building and many more. Via such applications we can develop a more greener and holistic mindset when approaching any give project or site constraints as we are able to fully take advantage of the surroundings and elements to improve and uphold the efficiency of the project.
